Submitting my way overdue review from my stay experience in MOM HOUSE (drafted out and realized I did not submit =X) Stayed here for a total of 7nights during end Oct 2016. Was my first time staying in MOM HOUSE, but definitely not the last time. Have been staying in Myeongdong during every trip to Seoul, and have been trying different GuestHouse, but have never returned to the same GuestHouse. Finally during Autumn in 2016, booked in MOM HOUSE since this was very convenient to subway station, within Myeongdong vicinity, there is LIFT in the building and lastly is managed by Kyu’s family <3 It is recommended to book thru MOM HOUSE official website instead of thru 3rd party booking channels since MOM HOUSE official website will offer the best price when you signed up for their Membership (which is complimentary). Payment wise will be directly at MOM HOUSE during your check-in, hence no prepayment is required. Check-In process was quite smooth, and we managed to check-in within a short period of time upon arriving at MOM HOUSE. Room that we chose was Room E – Family Room which consist of 1 Double Bed and Bunk Bed which can accommodate for 4pax. Room size was quite adequate for 4pax and considering this is a GuestHouse hence it was consider great for a GuestHouse. We were assigned to a room in Main Building (I guessed? Directly above the café) on Level 2. Hence getting up and down was quite convenient even if we do not want to wait for the lift. Basically no issues with the room, it’s quite comfortable as Im very particular in the mattress but no issues for MOM HOUSE during my 7nights there. The Sky Garden at the RoofTop level was open to all, it oversees the view of Myeongdong and you will be able to see Namsan Tower from here. Went there a few times tho its cold during Autumn but still its relaxing there. There is also a small area whereby you could try on the available Hanbok~ There is also shared facilities, whereby there is washing machine available for usage and detergent is also provided. For guest who stayed at MOM HOUSE will be entitled to simple breakfast daily and its complimentary. Every morning routine to look forward to the simple breakfast. Loved their Kimbap and potato salad and many more, simple breakfast but we enjoyed. You could also seek assistance from the reception if you need some food to be delivered to MOM HOUSE, caused they would be able to help you order and you can collect and make payment when food arrives, Designed wise, apart from the cosy rooms, you can expect there to have many faces of KyuHyun appearing as wallpaper, photo etc. Since this is managed by Cho’s family, but who would mind seeing too much of Kyu’s face daily? =p You may also bumped into Kyu’s Appa and Umma when you are staying there. We bumped into Kyu’s appa for numerous time and almost everytime it will bring us laughter; friendly Papa Cho reminding us to keep ourselves warm from the strong wind early in the morning. MOM HOUSE is like my 2nd home and will definitely be back again when I visit Seoul again. 7Nights in MOM HOUSE and definitely more to come~
